In order to be eligible, students must be graduating this summer from an accredited high school located in Catawba County, North Carolina. The mission of the NAACP is to ensure the political, educational, social and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate racial hatred and racial discrimination. We are looking to support and inspire local youth who uphold these ideals. We feel that it is imperative to develop intelligent, compassionate, and informed youth, as they will be the next generation of civil rights and community leaders.
